Treasure the Child will be Auctioned Nov. 18, 2006 to Benefit the Lovett School

Treasure the Child was donated to the Lovett School and will be auctioned at the 2006 fundraiser for the school. The theme of the auction is Sea of Treasures and it is being held at the Georgia Aquarium on November 18, 2006.

Treasure the Child depicts the philosophy promoted by Lovett founder Mrs. Eva Lovett of educating the whole child. Against a rich background of diverse fabrics, the quilt features inspirational words, sports icons, music icons, religious icons and memorabilia from the life of a Lovett student. The back of the quilt features children of every description.

The quilt measures 64 x 48 inches. There is a hanging sleeve on the back for easy display It is signed and is number 50/100 of the African Canvas Memory Quilt© series.

African Coat of Many Colors (Part Two) is a continuation of African Coat of Many Colors (Part One). It is number 49/100 of the African Canvas Memory Quilt© series and measures 24 inches x 34 inches. It shares the same multi colored stripe print as Part One, but the binding and the sashing is a brilliant gold.

It was finished in September, 2006.

African Coat of Many Colors (Part One) is number 48/100 of the African Canvas Memory Quilt© series. It measures 24 inches x 34 inches. On the back is a multi colored stripe print that reminds me of Joseph’s coat in the Bible; hence the name. The binding and the sashing is deep green.

It was sold to a collector in Tacoma Washington.
