African Hot Shot Shooter was made with the basketball star in mind. The word “shoot” is embroidered prominently on the front of the quilt along with other inspirational words. It was finished in September, 2006.

The same collector who purchsed African Book Shelf purchased African Hot Shot Shooter. As far as I know, this is the first time a collector has purchased more than one piece. What a happy milestone for me and the African Canvas Memory Quilt© series! A repeat customer!

Like all of the quilts in the series, African Book Shelf contains authentic African fabrics, domestic African prints and novelty prints. It is embellished with beads, inspirational words, charms, buttons and music. There is a hanging sleeve on the back so that you can easily display the quilt in your home.

African Book Shelf was finished in September, 2006 and purchased by a collector in Tacoma, WA.

Happy Birthday, Rory! is number 45/100 of the African Canvas Memory Quilt© series. It measures 31 inches x 41 inches. This quilt was made for a special friend’s 40th birthday.

Rory, who happens to be a lawyer, loves basketball more than anything. That is why the quilt has a basketball theme. The back of the quilt is a bright blue basketball motif with the basketball goal on fire. The theme is carried forward on the front of the quilt with basketball appliqué. The fact that Rory is a lawyer could not be ignored, so you will find the word “courthouse” on the front of the quilt as well. The binding and the sashing are blue.

African Cup of Joe (Part Two) contains authentic African fabrics, novelty prints and is embellished with beads, inspirational words, charms, buttons and music. As with all of the quilts in the collection, there is a hanging sleeve on the back so that you can easily display the quilt in your home.

After being finished in August, 2006, it was purchased by a collector in Kansas..
